🏋️ Whelan Wellness Grand Opening
Whelan Wellness came into our homes during the pandemic and this weekend they make a leap into their own space. Join them on November 16th at 55 Kiwanis Street as they unveil a space dedicated to wellness, community connection, and the power of personal growth. Coast 101.1 FM will be on the scene and there will be prize giveaways, ribbon cutting and snacks!
🎅 Santa Arrives at Avalon Mall November 16th
The holiday season kicks into high gear at Avalon Mall on Saturday with their annual breakfast with Santa. These tickets might’ve been the hottest ticket since the Eras tour, selling out in mere minutes. After breakfast you can head downstairs to visit Santa and get your photo.

Immerse yourself in the extravaganza of Avalon Expo 13/Fall, an amazing Comic Con and Pop-Culture Festival! Make new friends in a welcoming environment. Urban Market celebrates 4 years of connecting shoppers with local businesses. Fresh off an NLOWE Economic Impact award, they’ll be throwing a little party on Saturday with hourly giveaways and samples.

Wednesday
Black Horse Bingo kicks off at 7pm at The Newfoundland Embassy - no dabbers needed. Free to play and lots of prizes to be won!
Thursday
🎤 Rumour has it there’s an Adele tribute show opening at the Majestic Theatre. Featuring Andrea Koziol, Karla Pilgrim and Abra Whitney with Music Director Bill Brennan and a fantastic band the show is an intimate evening with all of Adele’s hits.
Friday
Mistletoe Night Market arrives at the Delta from 6pm-10pm with over 50 local vendors.
🍻 Celebrate the 12 Beers of Christmas Friday & Saturday night at the Farmer’s Market. All of your favourite local breweries will be there! Beers, Ciders, Seltzers will all be in abundance! The inflatable Christmas decorations will be out of hand, the Christmas sweaters will be ugly, and the Christmas music will be filling the Farmers' Market with cheer!

📚 NL Public Libraries Fall Book Sale takes place from 9:30am-4pm in the community room at the A.C. Hunter library. $2 for adult books and $1 for children’s book. And don’t be fooled, they are indeed open while their main stairs are getting a refurb.
🏀 Newfoundland Rogues kick off their 4th season against the Moncton-based Tri-City Tide. Tip off is at 7:00pm.
Jazz Jam with Heidi Burns at Theatre Hill Cafe starts at 9:30pm. Joined by Brendan Fitzpatrick on guitar and Matthew Hardy on bass, things kick off with a set of jazz standards. Then, the stage opens up for a lively jazz jam—musicians of all levels are welcome to join in!
The Passive Aggressive Comedy Tour lands at Erin’s Pub featuring Rebecca Reeds, Tamara Shevon and Monica Gross.
🎡 For a different twist on a holiday market, head to the Knights of Columbus on St. Clare Ave for a Christmas Carnival. It will be a large variety vendor market, with gaming & other attractions, including free photos with Santa!

There’s no escaping the holiday markets this time of year. The Etsy Holiday market pops up at the Farmer’s Market from 10am-4pm with no admission to browse the curated local vendors.
🎿 Looking for some winter outdoor gear? The Outfitters will be hosting their annual gear swap from 10am-2pm at their Water Street location. This is also a good chance to clear out your closet of gently used items that you are no longer using, or that you would like to upgrade.
