🏊♀️ No Mews Was Bad News
We finally have a timeframe for the opening of the new Mews Centre. The City has now taken possession of the building after two years of delays and plans to open it in time for September programming. No word on whether the line dancers have had their concerns addressed or not. You can get a sneak peek of the building on the city’s website.
🎥 Film & TV Keeps Booming
Hudson & Rex were filming season 8 over at the Brookfield District last week. Son of a Critch is getting ready to shoot season 5. Now it looks like Josh Hartnett is going to star in a limited series for Netflix. No word on a title or other cast yet, but if you like sea creatures terrorizing small towns, it’ll be your jam.
🛍️ Pedestrian Mall = Market Opportunity
The City is calling for proposals from vendor market organizers to make use of the Pedestrian Mall this summer. Food trucks are allowed! The city wants a regular cadence of markets, and they can accommodate up to 60 vendors at a time. It could be a great opportunity. Applications are open until Friday.
