🦢 Mundy Pond Swan is a Snowbird
With winter here and Mundy Pond freezing over, Humane Services has temporarily relocated the 15-year old Mute Swan who calls the pond home. He’ll be well looked after until the weather warms up.
🥕 Local Fresh Food for Less
Food on the Move creates welcoming spaces for fresh food shopping across St. John’s! They’re a social enterprise operated by Food First NL. Pop-ups are a place to buy fruits and vegetables, in spaces that are welcoming, at an affordable price. Check them out next at the Froude Avenue Community Centre.
🎸 Call for Performers for 2025 Special Events
Between the Harbourside Park series, Pedestrian Mall concerts, cruise ship dockside welcomes, and more, the city needs a lot of performers for the summer. Whether you’re solo or part of a group, all performing arts disciplines are welcome. The deadline to apply is March 28th.
Local Business
Magic Storm Events now hosting memorial services. They can provide venue space, catering, and even music.
Two local companies picked up awards this week at the 2025 Atlantic Canada Craft Awards. East Coast Quilt Co. for outstanding retailer and Newbornlander for outstanding exporter.
The Merchant Tavern is currently closed until March 4th undergoing kitchen renovations.
Former Gahan House location available for sale or lease. Ever wanted to open a restaurant? No word on if the brewing equipment comes with the building or not.
